SCHOOL BASED AT HOME COVID-19 TESTING

Through a partnership with the Oregon Health Authority, Santiam Hospital has been assigned to support NSSD by offering at-home COVID-19 screening testing for the 21-22 school year for K-12 students. Participation is voluntary. Families will be able to opt into this program at any time and may drop out at any time. COVID-19 screening programs have been shown to be an effective way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We hope that families will consider participating in this free program.

To participate in this program families will need to complete a consent form and sign up for an on-line account in LabDash. Testing kits passed out monthly at school and collected samples dropped off in a secure drop box weekly at school. Results will be communicated directly to families and as required to the Local Public Health Department. North Santiam School District will not receive individual test results from Santiam Hospital. The first collection day is tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 14, around 2:15 to 2:30 pm.
