As always, I hope that you and yours are safe and healthy. I hope that each of you continues to do your part around the state guidance in order for us to return to school as soon as possible. I really appreciate our entire school community’s efforts in providing the best opportunities for students during this trying time. If there is one major theme to this newsletter, I want it to be “stay connected”. If you or your student is having trouble with anything, please feel free to reach out to us. That includes social and emotional well being as well as self care. We will do everything we can to help you and your family. Ms. Sullivan, our school counselor, has created a SIS/SMS School Counseling course in Canvas that all students have access to in their Canvas Dashboard. If you are set up as an observer in Canvas you have access to it as well.
As we finish up week four of Comprehensive Distance Learning, we are working diligently to put supports in place for struggling students. We are setting up check-in times, tutoring and many other support options in order to help alleviate stress upon parents, students and not to be left out...staff. If you are feeling overwhelmed, please feel free to reach out to us and my staff will do everything they can to answer the call for help.
As always, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Please stay safe and healthy. We miss our entire school community, but most of all...WE MISS KIDS!!!
