English Language Arts Peer and Public Review
The North Santiam School District is in the process of adopting new K-12 language arts materials. These materials have gone through an extensive review at the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) to ensure they are highly aligned with Oregon standards.
The public review is a time for community members, parents, and staff not on the adoption committee to review the top candidates for possible classroom materials Fall of 2023.

The committee has already completed the following steps:
- Conducted a preliminary study of all ODE materials and teacher-requested materials for basic adoption.
- Invited publishers and curriculum consultants to answer questions about the top choices for adoption.
- Decided on the best quality materials to be reviewed by peers and the community.
Here is the schedule for the rotation of the physical materials throughout the district.
