• General Information About Sports Programs for Grades 6th, 7th & 8th

     

    All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in the North Santiam School District can participate in sports programs. These programs are offered at the Stayton Intermediate/Middle School campus. There will be an athletic shuttle for all sports with the exception of dance.

    6th graders may participate in cross country, dance team, wrestling and track.  

    7th and 8th graders may participate in football, volleyball, soccer, cross country, dance team, wrestling, girls and boys basketball and track.  

    Practices are Monday through Friday from 3:15-5pm for the 1st two weeks of the sport.  Following those 2 weeks, practices will run Monday through Thursday. Dance team is the exception and practice schedules will come directly from the coach.  A parent informational meeting will follow practice the first Wednesday for each sport.  

    Any applicable sports fees must be paid by the first game/meet/competition in order to participate in it.  Please contact your school office for information regarding the amount.

    There will be an athletic shuttle for all sports with the exception of dance.  It will pick athletes up at their school shortly after dismissal time and take them to the Intermediate/Middle School campus. After practice, the shuttle will pick them up at SMS return them to respective schools at Sublimity School and Mari-Linn.  This shuttle is for practices only.  All athletes will need to be picked up after a game/meet/competition at SMS.
