DIAGNOSTIC TESTING
If a student has a known exposure to COVID-19 or develops symptoms while at school, diagnostic testing is available. This can occur either at school (with signed consent) or at home with test kits that can be sent home with students upon request.
WEEKLY SALIVA SCREENING
The District has opted in to the free screening program offered to all Oregon K-12 students by the Oregon Health Authority. This is an optional weekly saliva at-home COVID screening test that parents can choose to sign their students up for. Participation in the program and all results are confidential, however, positive COVID-19 results must be reported to the local public health authority for case investigation and contact tracing. Parents can sign up online at LabDash.net They must complete a consent form shown below (also available at schools), return it to their student's school and pick up testing kits. Each school has established a drop-box for weekly collections. For more information, email Santiam Hospital at scope@santiamhospital.org .
