Kaycee Arase

Hello! My name is Kaycee Arase. I just graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Corban University this past spring. This will be my first year teaching. I love being able to teach the littles and help them build a foundation as they begin their education journey which is why I’m so excited to be teaching Kindergarten. My favorite part about teaching is seeing students bloom in something that they previously struggled with. It is so rewarding to see things click for them! I grew up in Maui, Hawaii, so naturally I absolutely love anything that has to do with the ocean and the outdoors. Some of my hobbies include sewing, fishing, cooking, hiking, and reading. I am always looking for new things to try and improve my skills in. I also played softball throughout my whole life, as well as in college, so sports has always been important to me and something I truly enjoy. I would describe myself as a compassionate and dedicated individual who sees herself as a lifelong learner. I cannot wait to become a part of this Sublimity community and better myself as an educator and person while making a positive difference in students’ lives!

I live in Stayton with my husband, Darren, who is the Vice Principal and Athletic Director at Stayton High School. We have three daughters who are also teachers. Our oldest daughter, Mrs. Kuenzi, teaches third grade at Stayton Elementary School.  I love teaching kindergarten because kindergartners are kind, expressive, and wildly enthusiastic about learning.  Here are a few of my favorite things!
